I Didn't Track This Week
That's right. Believe it or not, you don't have to track every single day of the year. As a matter of fact, I normally only track 6 days/week. Why you ask? I need a mental break, everyone needs a mental break! Similar to rest days in your training, your brain needs a rest too. I have learned people are much more compliant and happy when they don't feel the pressure of constantly tracking.
Even though I'm not tracking, I can assure you I am still making smart choices. I have a pretty good grasp on what my nutritional requirements are and what my body needs. Not tracking does not mean eating whatever you want for a week. It means leaving the numbers out of it and enjoying my chicken breast whether it is 4 or 6 ounces.
Christmas in only a few days away and I will not be tracking my meals. I will enjoy time with family and all the Christmas crack and no-bake cookies. I will also enjoy the vegetables and honey-baked ham! Once the holiday is over, I will feel refreshed, motivated, and ready to get back on track.
What type of person are you?
Do you have to track every single day? Do you have to train every single day? Remember the goal is holistic health, this includes physical AND mental health!
